This is a traditional Japanese kogatana (小刀) signed 菊一丸 (Kikuichimaru), a name associated with classic handcrafted blades. The knife features a hand-forged steel blade with a distinctive hammered (tsuchime-style) texture near the spine, transitioning into a sharpened edge.
The compact size and pointed profile make it ideal for detailed work, small cutting tasks, or as a collector’s item. It comes with a simple wooden handle and matching sheath, both showing natural aging that enhances its rustic character.
