Description from the seller
"No Rush" – Freeon #18
Acrylic on canvas · 60 x 40 x 3.5 cm
In No Rush, the Paleohunter stops right before the action. There is no tension, no hurry. Only presence.
He self-portraits in his cave as if he understood something deeply human: that even in the ancestral there existed the moment of pause, the awareness before the impulse.
The figure, built from a figurative neo-expressionism with humor, blends the primitive with the contemporary. Symbols, graphic marks and instinctive strokes generate a visual narrative that connects directly with the neorupestrian language, where the past is not past, but an attitude.
At his feet, a small being adds an ironic wink, breaking the solemnity and reminding us that evolution also has humor.
Signed as Freeon, alter ego of O. A., this piece is part of a universe where the ancestral is reinterpreted with freedom, color and character.
Freeon
I am a self-taught Spanish visual artist, based in Alicante, who develops a language of my own within rupestrian-rooted neo-expressionism. My work arises from absolute creative freedom and from a visceral need to express.
I work from intuition and the energy of the moment, in an environment where chill-out music helps me enter an almost ritual state. From there emerge my new figures: symbolic beings, primitive and contemporary at once, that seem to come from an ancient civilization but speak from the present.
Rupestrian art is not for me a aesthetic reference, but an active memory. Its essential strokes, its graphic power and its symbolic character transform into a renewed language, charged with emotion, color and expressive tension. I create figures that reinterpret the primitive from a current vision, building a bridge between the ancestral and the futuristic.
I am in constant evolution, exploring techniques, materials and narratives that widen my visual universe. Each work is an inner excavation and, at the same time, an invention: new characters, new symbols and new mythologies that expand my creative world.
