Arc is structured around a dominant curve that traverses the composition as a gesture of tension and connection. This arc is not just a shape: it functions as an axis, as a passage, and as a point of unstable balance between opposing forces. On one side, warm tones—saturated oranges and reds—radiate energy and expansion; on the other, cooler blues introduce interruption, containment, and contrast.
The painting unfolds in layers of spray, where transparencies and overlays reveal a process that is simultaneously intuitive and controlled. Gestural marks, rapid lines, and scattered graphic elements act as interferences, almost like noise in a visual system trying to organize itself. There is a sense of real-time construction, where each gesture responds to the previous one without ever fully closing the composition.
The central arc can be read as an architectural structure, as an enlarged fragment of a circuit, or even as a trace of frozen movement. This ambiguity reinforces the tension present in the work: something that sustains yet at the same time seems to be under pressure. The drips and textures add a temporal dimension, recording the action of gravity and introducing small flaws in the control of the gesture.
In Arc, balance is never static. The work inhabits a mid-point between stability and collapse, where color, form and energy coexist in constant adjustment. More than representing, the painting proposes an experience of force and direction — a field where everything converges, bends and resists within a single curved line.
