African statuette depicting a colonial cavalryman wearing a helmet and a uniform; this African figure is carved in a naive figurative style with a polychrome patina. It is in its original condition. Small loss on the horse's ear. The left leg of the horse is slightly cracked but not serious for the piece. Old piece, no dating possible.
