Description from the seller
“Upgrade” – Limited edition of 100 copies - Number 05/100
Artist: SKE
300 g art paper – ISO A3 format – Signed, numbered – Certificate included
In this work, SKE evolves Gaston: he has traded his old taco for a yellow Porsche. A clear upsell in quality. Yet a detail reveals his attachment to the past: he kept the same colors as his former car, like a nostalgic wink to his beginnings.
The success is there, the symbol is strong, but Gaston does not renounce anything. He moves forward without erasing who he was. Luxury becomes a continuity, not a rupture. The object impresses, the character remains true to his laid-back, smiling spirit.
Through this détournement, SKE plays with the codes of social success and personal memory. Progress does not erase history; it extends it.
Pop-leaning, street-energy, projections and splashes sign a work that is light, ironic, and deeply human.
A piece that recalls that one can change direction… without forgetting where one comes from.
Specifications:
• Limited edition of 100 copies
• Premium print on 300 g art paper
• ISO A3 format, ideal and easy to frame
• Copies signed and numbered by SKE

“Upgrade” is a strong, narrative, and jubilant piece, perfect for fans of contemporary pop culture, mashups, and offbeat art.
A rare edition not to be missed.
- ARTIST BIO:
SKE is a self-taught French artist and all-rounder who grew up immersed in 80s/90s culture, inspiring most of his artistic work.
He continually explores new techniques: acrylic painting, collage, stenciling, graffiti, urban installations, and digital art. His dynamic, expressive compositions, often with double meaning, blend the raw energy of street art with the visual impact of pop art.
After an exceptional year in 2025, SKE’s market value has risen notably. He was awarded the first prize at the Urban Master contest (2023), then named Revelation of the Year at the Color Jam Challenge (2025).
SKE was selected as “Artist of the Month” by the Opulence gallery in October, and he also benefited from a feature in an American art magazine confirming his international recognition.
His works have already been exhibited in major venues in Europe, the United States, and Asia, consolidating his place on the contemporary art scene. At the same time, SKE has also established himself in the digital art market, a major trend of the past two years, reinforcing the appeal of his creations to collectors.
Icons of popular culture, bold graphics, and texture play characterize a style that is now essential.
SKE is undeniably an artist to follow, to start or enrich a collection with rising value.
Ranked & Awarded Artist – Pop Art & Contemporary Street Art
A UNIVERSE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND MODERNITY SKE’s work fits into a prestigious lineage. His line shows the visual efficiency of Keith Haring and Andy Warhol, while incorporating the subversion of Banksy or the pioneer Blek le Rat. His works create a bridge between eras: they revisit the classics, not hesitating to détourne Leonardo da Vinci’s Mona Lisa, Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring, Hokusai’s The Great Wave, or the deconstructed forms of Picasso to confront them with a modern urban aesthetic close to Mr. Brainwash or Kaws.
POP CULTURE & NOSTALGIA Drawing from the collective imagination, SKE manipulates icons of our childhood. He stages the Disney universe with figures like Mickey or Pinocchio, and Scrooge McDuck’s symbolic greed. The influence of gaming, comics, and graphic novels is omnipresent: from the Nintendo universe and the legendary Game Boy, to Pokémon creatures (Pikachu, Charizard, Ash), through Marvel superheroes. SKE crystallizes these memories in the manner of Daniel Arsham or Takashi Murakami.
LUXURY, HYPE & CONSUMER SOCIETY In a style that sometimes recalls Alec Monopoly, the artist plays with codes of success and materialism. The Dollar symbol sits alongside luxury and fashion logos. His canvases capture the “Hype” aesthetic: mingling sneaker culture (Nike Air Jordan, Adidas, Off-White) with haute couture (Louis Vuitton, Hermès, Louboutin). He also integrates automotive adrenaline (Ferrari, Porsche, Bugatti, AMG) and precision watchmaking (Rolex, Tag Heuer), not to mention mass-consumption icons like Coca-Cola. It is vibrant art, with textured finishes that sometimes evoke the glossy sheen of Jeff Koons or the facets of Richard Orlinski.
This work is ideal to enrich a collection or add a dynamic touch to your interior.
