Six Italian frames dating from 1940–1950, in silver-plated and .1000 argentum, external 30×25 cm (internal 29×24 cm), with a total gross weight of about 1.5 kg and in used condition with probable small pieces missing.
Description from the seller
The lot is composed as follows:
- 3 minimalist and linear frames characterized by a slender profile. These frames have a wooden back panel. N.B. The frames are in perfect condition; one of them (as in the photo) is missing the wooden support stand. About 30x25 cm.
- 1 frame features finely incised decorations typical of the Art Deco or Liberty style. N.B. It is the only frame with the mark on the front that indicates the frame's essence. The label reads "Bronzo Argentato al 1000" and it is bronze plated galvanically with a layer of silver. About 10x7 cm.
- 1 frame with a historic mark. The word "Rammen" in Danish literally means "frames" (last photo).
- 1 frame presents a pierced (traforated) detailing along the edges that creates a light and elegant effect.
"These six wonders I have proposed to you are family members, meant to tell their lived experience and their history with a memory enclosed in a frame.
Net total weight 600 grams"
