Alain Quemper - Brigitte Bardot Paris 1969

Print on silver gelatin photo paper signed in black ink on the bottom right of the image and numbered 6/30. Alain Quemper, a press photographer born in 1947, reveals the year 1968 from the vantage point of his 20 years. He photographs celebrities in their everyday environment: singers, actors, artists, politicians. All his photos were taken in public places and with a smile. On the occasion of the 40th anniversary of May ’68, the Dorothy’s Gallery exhibition presented national and international figures from the artistic and political world, the events that marked that era: actors, filmmakers, writers, singers, politicians… Michel Simon, Brigitte Bardot, Gainsbourg, Jane Birkin, Jackie Kennedy, Pompidou, Malraux, Brassens, Maurice Chevalier, Sartre, Dali, Louis de Funès, Jean-Louis Barrault, Joséphine Baker…
