Description from the seller

Platter in maiolica produced by the renowned Richard-Ginori manufactory. The décor is a reinterpretation of the "Raffaellesco" or "Grottesche" style, typical of the Italian Renaissance (very popular in Urbino and Deruta in the 16th century). It features stylized dolphins, foliate scrolls and flowers, with a central medallion depicting a classical noble-style profile on a deep blue background.
The blue crown with the inscription "Ginori" and the numbers beneath indicate production from the Doccia manufactory (Sesto Fiorentino).
This specific mark was used, roughly, between the end of the 19th century and the first decades of the 20th century (a historical period in which Ginori masterfully revived the splendors of Renaissance maiolica).
