Born in Havana in 1972, Alonso is a Cuban-Spanish visual artist whose trajectory links cinema, photography and contemporary image. Trained in Madrid, he began in cinema as an assistant director and cameraman, collaborating notably with Bertrand Fèvre, Pedro Almodóvar and José Luis García Sánchez. This passage through cinema permanently marks his relationship to framing, to silence and to rhythm. Based in Arles, he now develops a visual body of work present in private collections in Europe, Asia and the United States.
