Description from the seller
Artist: Cehere
Original work realized on canvas board, this piece sits within a contemporary approach blending urban art, pop culture and graphic abstraction.
Through the integration of an iconic character modified/diverted, the artist explores the notion of a imposed role, control and latent tension. The contrast between the naive aesthetics of the character and the presence of a target evokes an ambivalent reading, between apparent humor and silent critique of normative systems.
The background, rich in textures and overlays, combines acrylic painting, acrylic ink, marker and collages, creating a dialogue between raw material and a structured composition. The vertical lines and circular shapes reinforce a sense of scan, analysis or surveillance, as if the scene were observed or programmed.
This work sits in a contemporary visual universe where converging:
• urban art / street art
• revisited pop art
• graphic abstraction
• fragmented visual narration
A strong piece, both aesthetic and conceptual, subtly questioning our relationship to the image, to social roles and to perception.
Specifications:
• Size: 25 x 25 cm
• Support: canvas board
• Techniques: acrylic painting, acrylic ink, marker, collages
• Work sold unframed
• Unique piece
