Description from the seller
The work represents one of the few remaining pieces from the artist of 2012-2013 in a style with lighter, more liquid color and a theme that often describes a feminine world where symbols intertwine with a gesturality that expands and deepens the theme of bonds and belonging to the earth.
In this piece there are stories of the nymphs of sweet waters that seem to flow in ancestral waters rich with fish and imaginary worlds, where the figures save one another as they glide, as if one massaged the other to free it to float. Although they are in water, one can perceive the weight of their bodies to bring the viewer back to reality and to carnality, to a body that also bears the weight of its own feelings.
The eyes and the naturalness of a body remain central, not perfect according to conventional aesthetic canons, not exposed to pleasure, but bearing witness, itself, to the entire message, conveying security and dignity, going beyond mere observation.
The work has a 2 cm high frame.
With the work will also be shipped a certificate of authenticity of an original piece.

Jara Marzulli
born in Bari, she graduated from the Bari Art High School and subsequently from the Academy of Fine Arts of Bari with top marks, and since 1998 she has participated in exhibitions and competitions, quickly earning recognitions, prizes, and important selections.
Her figurative realism painting style became immediately recognizable and since 2004 international experiences began through fairs, biennials, and important exhibitions.
Her art grows and tells of a perception that is at once ecstatic and sensual, made even more incisive and moving by the technical perfection that distinguishes the artist. A lucid and wrenching expressive quality, an indistinguishable purity that dresses in painting, a constant play of displacements, of role reversals between the artist who paints and the subject depicted.
Numerous are the prestigious Biennials and art exhibitions for which she exhibits in Italy and abroad, such as in Turkey, at Art Taipei Fair, Taiwan, China at Red Elation gallery, Hong Kong, at the MEAM Museum, Barcelona, Dublin, at the Mainz Museum, Buenos Aires in Argentina and in London.
Jara Marzulli's figures have intense, direct, frontal gazes. They possess the dignity of subjects ready to respond with great immediacy. The characters that almost entirely occupy the canvas space manage to visually represent men, women, girls and boys who seem to recognize the observer as a stranger, sustain their gaze, push him away, distance themselves to defend the silence of their precious inner world.
