Description from the seller

Missula / wall console in carved and gilded wood – Baroque/Rococo style

Decorative wall piece, crafted in solid wood with rich carving and a gilded finish (probably gold leaf or fake gilding), featuring pronounced volume and decoration with scrolls, shell motifs, and vegetal designs typical of Baroque/Rococo taste.

The structure is composed of a slightly curved upper base to support a decorative object (image, sculpture, vase, clock), supported by a central body with pierced carving and deep scrolls, giving light visual weight and elegance. The lower part ends in a curled volute element.

On the back there is a carved cavity and original mounting holes, allowing secure wall installation.

Approximate dimensions:

* Height: about 30 cm
* Width: about 35–36 cm
* Depth: about 14–15 cm

Weight:

* Approximately 0.96 kg

Condition:
Antique piece in good overall condition, with natural signs of use and age. Shows wear to the gilding, small flaws and marks in the wood, consistent with time, which reinforce authenticity and decorative character. Solid and stable structure.

Additional notes:
Ideal element for classic decor, framing vintage or eclectic interiors, can be used alone or in pair. Excellent for highlighting collectible items.

Piece with strong aesthetic presence and good visual impact.

Seller's Story

I am passionate about art, antiques, and decorative objects with historical and aesthetic value. I carefully select unique pieces for auction, prioritizing those that stand out for their originality, quality, and history. I have a special affinity for antique mirrors inspired by the work of Alphonse Mucha, acquired from private collections and antique shops in Portugal and France. I also place great importance on pieces made of carved wood, especially in gilded relief, which represent the refinement and craftsmanship of classical decorative arts.
