Massimo Brusadin presents Riflessioni Ancestrali, a 2024 original acrylic painting on canvas (65 x 90 cm) with a signed, excellent condition, notable for its red, blue, yellow and black palette and an abstract expressionist portrayal of a monumental angelic figure.
Description from the seller
The work presents a monumental angelic figure, captured in a moment of profound abandonment and introspection. The tilt of the head and the raised arm suggest a silent dialogue between the human and the divine. The figure is not defined by precise lines, but emerges forcefully from the background chaos through extreme color saturation.
The work moves with mastery in the realm of abstract expressionism. The mixed media allows for layering that gives the painting an almost sculptural quality. The brushstrokes are broad and textured, imbued with a creative urgency reminiscent of Action Painting.
The drips of acid yellow across the canvas are not random, but create a network of light that connects the figure to the surrounding space, breaking the pose's staticity.
Color contrast is the true emotional engine of the painting:
The Carmine Red of the central figure symbolizes passion and earthly vitality (Immanence).
The Cobalt Blue and the Black of the background represent infinity, mystery, and the spiritual dimension.
The Primary Yellow acts as a breaking element, an abrupt light that illuminates the scene and accentuates its modernity.
The title itself, "Ancestral Reflections," suggests that the divine is not distant, but resides within matter and the body. The angel is not an ethereal and transparent entity, but a solid, fleshy, and vibrant presence that inhabits reality with all its chromatic force.
