Description from the seller
A set of two pieces beautifully reflects the refinement and craftsmanship of Le Creusot crystal, early Baccarat, and Saint Louis production in the Moule à Feuilles et Cotes Plates model. The body twists with a leaf-like design, creating a striking play of light and brilliance characteristic of finely hand-cut crystal from the early 19th century. The elegant facets and precise cutting of the crystal demonstrate the exceptional quality of execution typical of Baccarat's early workshop. The quality of the crystal, the precision of the cutting, and the harmonious proportions strongly support the attribution to Baccarat's early 19th-century production. Condition: good antique condition with some signs of age consistent with nearly 200 years of history; see a visible line on the handle where it connects to the body, which may indicate a crack or structural separation. The lid does not originally belong. An exceptionally well-preserved example for a piece of this period. A refined and highly desirable example of early Baccarat craftsmanship. Height — 21.8; 24.8 cm Top diameter — 4.5; 6 × 4.5 cm Base diameter — 9; 5.8 cm Width — 10 cm Circumference — 25; 27.5 cm
