Description from the seller
This lively work, titled "The Cheerful Laughter" displayed in the artist's 2024 solo show at the Imperial Villa of Galliera Veneta (Padua), presents itself as a dynamic mosaic of symbols and colors that celebrate joy and vitality through a visually ingenuous but deeply evocative language. The painting rejects traditional perspective rules in favor of a dense, layered two-dimensional narrative. The style recalls the playful surrealism of artists like Joan Miró, where every element floats in a space saturated with hues. The canvas is populated by zoomorphic figures, such as the black bird that dominates the upper part and the stylized seagull on the right, mixed with everyday objects (a bottle of wine, a key, a jug). These elements seem to compose a visual diary of happy moments or affectionate memories. The title resonates with the energy radiating from the brushstrokes and the contrast between primary colors. The “laughter” is not only a physical act but an attitude expressed through the dance of sinuous shapes and the presence of smiling figures. At the top, an open window onto a sea with a sailing boat suggests an escape toward freedom or an horizon of hope, contrasted with the walls of a castle on the left that root the work in an almost fairytale-like context. In short, the artist creates a microcosm where chaos becomes harmony, inviting the viewer to rediscover a pure, playful, and, indeed, cheerful vision of the world. The skillful use of acrylic color allows flat and crisp layers, which enhance the graphic character of the work and the precision of the individual chromatic elements. The painting is ready to be hung and is provided with a certificate of authenticity. Please note that the colors in the images may differ slightly due to varying lighting conditions. The painting was created without a paintbrush; the colors were applied with spray acrylic paint and permanent markers. The work, realized on canvas 120 x 70 in 2024, is bordered by a small wooden frame. Furthermore, it is dated, signed, and titled on the front.
