Robert Ganzo, born August 22, 1898 in Caracas, died April 6, 1995 in Boulogne-Billancourt, was a poet of Venezuelan origin writing in French. During World War II he joined the Resistance, mainly through his poems. Being Jewish, a communist and a resister, he was arrested by the Gestapo and taken beneath the Paris Opera into the interrogation room. He escaped with the help of his guard who knew his poems.
