Description from the seller
Robert Pierini — Flacon (CA 609)
Handblown Art Glass Perfume Bottle/Flacon, Biot, France This striking art glass flacon is an original creation by Robert Pierini, one of the most celebrated French glassmakers, born in 1950 in Toulon, who established his workshop in Biot in a 15th-century oil mill where he developed his signature style through decades of experimentation.
The piece features a large ovoid clear glass body encasing a dramatic swirled red inner form, evoking fire and movement. Embedded at the base are multicolored murrine-style inclusions — vivid yellow, teal, black lace-work, and green — adding extraordinary depth. The stopper is a ribbed red globe that crowns the piece with elegance. The bottom bears the artist’s signature in silver script. Pierini studied the ideal proportions based on the golden ratio and worked with the inherent qualities of glass — its ability to reflect or absorb light, its transparency or opacity. All of this is evident in this piece. Comes with the original Certificat d’Authenticité from the Pierini family (ref. CA 609), confirming it as an original Robert Pierini creation.
