Three-piece Japanese Imari vase set from the Meiji period (1868–1912), hand-painted with cobalt blue and iron-red underglaze decorations, comprising two lidded baluster vases with foo dog knobs and one central vase with a flared mouth, each about 14 cm wide and deep and 30 cm high, in good antique condition with minor glaze wear and small marks.

Japanese Imari vase set – Arita porcelain – Meiji period (1868–1912)
Magnificent three-piece Japanese Imari vase set from the Meiji period, crafted from fine porcelain and richly hand-painted in traditional underglaze blue and iron-red decorations with floral and landscape motifs.
The set consists of:
* Two lidded baluster vases with decorative foo dog / shishi knob lids
* One matching central vase with a spreading mouth
The vases display the characteristic Imari palette with vibrant cobalt blue and iron-red accents on a cream-white background. The decoration consists of blossoms, plants, cartouches and stylized landscapes, typical for export porcelain from the late 19th century.
The pieces are handmade and hand-painted, evident in the glaze details, brushwork and the finish of the underside.
Condition
Good antique condition corresponding to age and use.

* Small areas of wear / paint loss present
* No visible major cracks or restorations
