Description from the seller
Heinz Fischer-Roloff – Abstract Painting (1956) – Oil on Canvas
An expressive work by the German artist Heinz Fischer-Roloff (1923–2004), created in 1956, during one of his particularly exciting creative phases. The painting shows a powerful composition of gestural lines and structured areas – a characteristic example of his contribution to abstract expressionism in the post-war period.
Description
The work combines dynamic, freely drawn lines with calm geometric elements, thereby creating a tense balance between movement and structure. The reduced palette in black, gray, and white tones emphasizes the timeless, modern effect.
