Two wooden chalet-style wall-mounted ashtray and thermometer set from France, dating to the 1970s and measuring 42 cm high by 34 cm wide by 4 cm deep, in good working order with minor signs of aging and stains.

Little House: This object is a combined wooden ashtray and thermometer in the distinctive chalet style.
The round dial in the middle of the "house" functions here as a thermometer to indicate the indoor temperature.
Details of this object
Thermometer: The gold-colored round dial measures the temperature (usually in Celsius).
Ashtray: The lower part has a removable metal tray with notches for cigarettes.
Material: Dark-stained wood, hand-finished to give a rustic "log cabin" look.
Origin:
This type of folk art is referred to as Tramp Art or woodcarving from the Black Forest.
Period: produced between 1950 and 1980.
