Elegant multi-bell table bell – France, late 19th century
Refined and scenographic mechanical bronze/brass patinated table bell, made in France at the end of the 19th century. The object stands out for its distinctive five bells arranged in a star-like pattern, operated by a rear lever, which produce sound
The central body is decorated with a relief putto, while the base features an elegant stylized dolphin and ornamental motifs of naturalistic taste, typical of French decorative production of the late 19th century, in transition towards Art Nouveau.
The original patina, with suggestive green and brown hues, adds great charm and attests to the object's authenticity and age.
