Keay, John - 1 Original page - Look and Learn - Revolution - 1979

This is the unique original Watercolour painting by John Keay, painted for the British comic Look and Learn for issue no. 929 (10 November 1979).

Look and Learn was one of Britain's longest running comics, beginning it's publication in 1962 and ending in 1982.

This piece was used as an illustration for an article entitled 'Germany's secret weapon', and describes how after years spent in exile in Europe, Lenin (second from right) returned to his homeland in 1905 to take charge of the Russian revolution.

A copy of the article has been supplied on the reverse of the art board.
