Beautiful antique Swiss pocket watch from 1899, mechanical hand-wind, 6 Jewels, serial number 43466
The watch and the case are of Swiss origin. The case is partly brass and 800 silver, see marks in the photos.
Signed Avenue/Calibre/Depose: Avenue/Calibre these are often brand names or model names of Swiss manufacturers from the end of the 19th or beginning of the 20th century.
The back has an engraved horse motif and on the inside of the rear cover is the name of the first owner Max Cremmed 1899 engraved.
Comes with, pocket watch chain, winding key and box. This is not the original box.
In working condition, recently cleaned by a clockmaker, it must be wound every day or shaken to get the mechanism going. preferably hung on a stand. Please note that the pocket watch is already 127 years old.
The dial has Roman numerals and is painted with beautiful Swiss floral motifs. Equipped with graceful antique hands and a seconds hand. Finished with a gold rosette in the center.
The dial unfortunately has 2 hairline cracks, but they are not distracting.
