The composition is dominated by the titanic emergence of a sandworm (Shai-Hulud) splitting the dunes. The legendary creature is reinterpreted with great originality: its carapace is not merely textured but adorned with complex geometric motifs recalling the scales of Asian dragons or the traditional patterns found on Japanese armor and kimonos.
