Medsan’s square 40 × 40 cm hand-signed giclée, titled Dune Sandworm, an original edition from 2026, in excellent condition, produced in France.
Description from the seller
With this square-format artwork, Medsan plunges us into the arid, majestic universe of the science-fiction masterwork Dune. Continuing his series based on the aesthetics of classic oil painting, this giclée offers an epic, textured vision where sci-fi pop culture is enriched with subtle Japanese influences.
The composition is dominated by the titanic emergence of a sandworm (Shai-Hulud) splitting the dunes. The legendary creature is reinterpreted with great originality: its carapace is not merely textured but adorned with complex geometric motifs recalling the scales of Asian dragons or the traditional patterns found on Japanese armor and kimonos. Facing this divine monster, two hooded figures, equipped with pilgrim staffs, stand on a dune ridge, illustrating the smallness of man (the Fremen) before the raw force of Arrakis’ nature. In the background, a vast red-glowing sun evokes both the crushing heat of the desert planet and the classic symbol of the rising sun from ukiyo-e.
The visual impact of the work rests on a perfectly simulated impasto technique. Thick, swirling brushstrokes bring life to the sand clouds stirred by the worm and to the rough texture of the desert. The color palette, bathed in ochre tones, sands, golds, and deep blues for the sky, creates an atmosphere that is both mystical and menacing.
A masterful and vibrant piece, ideal for adding an epic, cinematic, and richly textured dimension to a contemporary interior setting.

About the Studio:
Atelier Joconde is a collective of artists united around a living, plural contemporary creation. Established as a true site of artistic production, the studio operates both in collective creation and in individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family venture. Le Yack, contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. By his side, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive research, blending abstract art, outsider art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created, and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
