Medsan, Death Star Ruin (デス・スターの廃墟) - Hand Signed - UNIQUE EDITION, a 40 × 40 cm giclée on wood-mounted canvas, created in 2026 in France, original edition, in an impressionist, pop culture space scene, in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
With this square-format work, Medsan transports us to the arid vastness of a distant world, paying textured and poetic homage to the founding universes of space opera and science fiction. Continuing his approach of hybridization, the artist treats this cinematic iconography with the nobility and depth of a classical oil painting.
The composition opens on a majestic desert landscape swept by winds. In the foreground, a solitary figure, evoking the archetypal image of a scavenger or a desert nomad, pulls a small cart loaded with gears. Facing him, half-buried in the immense golden dunes, lies the colossal wreck of a spherical space station. This monumental ruin, whose metal panels alternate between steel gray and rust red, irresistibly recalls the iconography of the most famous intergalactic saga on the big screen.
The visual impact of the work is enhanced by the perfect illusion of impasto technique. Broad, swirling, and nervous brushstrokes literally sculpt the waves of sand, the gusts of wind, and the dark clouds of a heavy, dramatic sky. This post-impressionist touch gives the technological relic a dimension of antique ruin, almost romantic, underscoring the futility of empires before the power of nature.
A masterful and evocative piece, ideal for bringing an epic, nostalgic, and richly textured dimension to a contemporary interior arrangement.

About the Atelier:
Atelier Joconde is a workshop of artists gathered around a living and plural contemporary creation. Established as a true place of artistic production, the studio operates both in collective creation and individual approaches, depending on projects and works. Atelier Joconde is also a family adventure. Le Yack, contemporary figurative painter, develops a narrative and introspective body of work with cinematic and realistic influences. Beside him, Medsan, oriented toward pop art painting, explores color, modern iconography, and visual culture. Finally, Neo Pablo engages in a more instinctive search, blending abstract art, outsider art, and figurative abstraction. Each work is conceived, created, and followed within the studio, with a shared artistic standard and an identity unique to each artist.
