About the artist:
Yamila Velázquez (Las Tunas, Cuba, 1993) is a contemporary artist who uses digital intelligence tools, currently living and working in Alicante, Spain. Owner and partner of a company dedicated to the sale, representation and development of artists and works of art, Velázquez combines her business vision with a deep artistic sensibility.
This young Cuban talent has established herself in the field of digital art, using contemporary media to explore themes related to nature, landscape and the intimate relationship between woman and her environment. Her works address with subtlety and strong visual force themes such as beauty, love, sensuality and feminine delicacy, always framed in enveloping, romantic and refined atmospheres.
With a vibrant and expressive aesthetic, Yamila Velázquez manages to fuse classical influences with a modern language, resulting in versatile, fresh and deeply evocative works. The painterly texture of her images, the masterful use of color and the emotionally balanced composition position her work as a current artistic proposal of high aesthetic value.

This work presents a masterful convergence between the ephemeral beauty of nature and the Japanese philosophy of Kintsugi, the art of repairing what is cracked with precious metals to highlight its history rather than hide it. The piece represents a figure of a porcelain angel, where the cracks joined by gold veins symbolize resilience and the emotional scars of divine and human experience, transforming its apparent fragility into a study of grace and overcoming. The contrast between the intricate patterns of blue and white ceramic on porcelain skin and the vibrant pink gerberas evokes a spiritual duality, suggesting that true beauty does not reside in perfection, but in the capacity to reconstruct and bloom from its own fragments.
