Description from the seller
MiLo – “Silent Observers”
A work by Amsterdam-based artist MiLo (1976).
Silent Observers unfolds as a layered field where fragments of form begin to surface—an eye-like shape, small figure-like traces, and shifting silhouettes that seem to appear and disappear within the composition. The imagery remains deliberately unresolved, hovering between abstraction and suggestion.
Working in a restrained palette of black, white, and muted earth tones, MiLo creates a surface that feels both raw and alive. The painting carries a subtle tension: at once quiet and slightly uncanny, yet balanced by a lightness in its rhythm and spacing. This duality gives the work an open, almost playful ambiguity without losing its depth.
The painting will be rolled up and shipped in a sturdy tube or box, without frame, and includes a signed certificate of authenticity.
