The artist Hestela Charbonnier develops a painting practice that moves between the floral world and the figurative dimension, creating a continuous dialogue between nature and the human being. Her production ranges from botanically charged compositions full of energy and matter to portraits and figures in which a deep emotional sensitivity emerges.
In the floral paintings, color is the absolute protagonist: dynamic brushstrokes, layering of materiality, and luminous contrasts transform the flower into a symbol of vitality, transformation, and fragility. The shapes expand across the canvas with an instinctive yet aware gesture, giving life to intense and engaging compositions.
In the figurative works, instead, the artist explores interiority through postures, gazes, and suspended atmospheres. The figures are never simple representations, but become silent narratives, rich in emotion and psychological depth.
A common element to both lines of inquiry is the attention to matter and color as primary expressive tools. Whether it is a flower in full explosion or a figure immersed in its own thoughts, each work reflects a tension between energy and delicacy, between gesture and introspection.
