Description from the seller
Max-Daniel — “La Parisienne” — Alcôve Series — 50 × 75 cm
Unique and original work by Max-Daniel, from the “Alcôve” series, entitled “La Parisienne.”
This composition features an elegant young woman wearing a richly ornamental blue kimono with orientalist motifs, accompanied by a gray cat, in an intimate, hushed atmosphere. The decor evokes an old, warm, almost theatrical interior, where textures, deep colors, and light create a presence that is at once soft, sensual, and mysterious.
The artwork belongs to Max-Daniel’s contemporary approach, blending digital creation with traditional painted intervention. The visual base is developed from AI work and Photoshop, then digitally printed on canvas. The artist then directly intervenes by hand with oil retouches, glazes, and highlights to impart depth, vibrancy, and uniqueness to the surface.
The glossy finish is achieved with two layers of varnish, giving the whole piece a beautiful sheen and durable protection.
Technique: mixed media — AI, Photoshop, digital print on canvas, oil retouches, glazes, highlights, glossy finish with two layers of varnish.
Format: 50 × 75 cm.
Support: canvas stretched on a frame.
Unique and original work.
Certificate of authenticity provided.
Signed by the artist.
A decorative and contemporary work, at the intersection of figurative painting, digital imagery, and manual intervention, characteristic of Max-Daniel’s singular universe.
This piece constitutes a fine example of the research conducted by Max-Daniel around mixed techniques, the survival of painting in the digital age, and the possibility of an author’s signature within contemporary visual production devices.
Unique work, signed and authenticated.
Signed work: Max-Daniel. A professional Parisian artist since 1981, registered with Urssaf as a creator-artist, Doctor in arts and sciences from the Sorbonne University, Max-Daniel has since 1989 pursued research in aesthetics and computer arts, particularly by hybridizing old and contemporary techniques.
Black-stretcher, the work can be hung directly, thus without a frame. Original exclusive work with paper certificate of authenticity provided.
A very beautiful transitional piece for collectors.
Expedition with insurance included, refund upon simple return.
