This painting carries the calm and at the same time the power of a wide, cold sea within it. The many layers of blue feel like water in constant motion – sometimes deep and dark, sometimes pierced by light, as if sky and waves reflected one another. White streaks surface like reflections on the water, like brief moments of clarity between current and depth.

"Nordmeer" speaks of vastness. Of the feeling of standing before a landscape that is larger than oneself. It evokes quiet coasts, salty air, the monotonous sound of the waves, and thoughts that gradually grow calmer. At the same time there is something mysterious in this image – as if something hidden lies beneath the surface, not quite graspable.

The abstract forms give no fixed direction. Instead, they create space for one's own memories and feelings. Perhaps it is the memory of a journey, perhaps only an inner image of freedom and distance from everyday life. This is where the strength of the work lies: it does not exclude the viewer, but slowly draws them in – into a quiet, deep, almost meditative world of color and movement.

Biografia:
My name is Sandra Glaser and I live in Trofaiach in beautiful Styria, where I have created a lovingly furnished studio – a place where I can dive completely into my colors, forms and thoughts.
Already as a child I was fascinated by the world of art. This passion has never left me – it accompanies me to this day and continually inspires me anew. On journeys and while visiting numerous exhibitions across Europe I have collected many artistic impressions that have shaped my view of painting.
My preferred mode of expression is abstract acrylic painting on canvas. In my work I mainly deal with feelings, inner states, landscapes and fantasy worlds. I aim to make visible what cannot be said – emotions, moods and interspaces that are often only expressible in color and movement.
I paint out of passion. For me it is an intuitive process in which authenticity and depth are central. Each work is a piece of myself – an impulse, a memory, a look inward and outward at the same time.

For a painting with dimensions 160 x 130 cm, a stretcher of 150 x 120 cm with a thickness of 2-4 cm is needed.
You can either stretch the canvas yourself or have it stretched by an art restorer or gallery.

This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated by year.

High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints have been used on multiple coats of white-primed gallery canvas.

A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
