A I. Text
This Eau de Coty perfume bottle was designed by the famous French glass artist René Lalique.
Lalique began his collaboration with François Coty around 1907–1908. This specific design is representative of their early collaboration, with Lalique adding his artistic flair to the presentation of perfumes.
Some details about the design:

Designer: René Lalique (1860–1945), a pioneer of Art Nouveau and Art Deco.

Features: The label is often richly decorated with classical figures, which was typical of Lalique's early work for Coty to visually enhance the fragrance.

Historical context: Before this collaboration, perfumes were often sold in simple apothecary bottles. Lalique and Coty changed that by making the bottle an integral part of the luxury experience.
