Description:
Object Description:
Splendid and elegant pair of high-quality Italian-made bedside tables dating to the mid-20th century (circa 1950). These pieces embody the excellence of Italian Mid-Century Modern design, with lines that strongly recall the style of the great masters of the era such as Paolo Buffa or Vittorio Dassi.
Technical Features and Materials:
• Wood: Panelled structure in precious rosewood (or dark walnut), characterized by a deep, vertical, mirror-like grain that gives great dynamism to the fronts.
• Decorations: The doors are adorned with refined gold volute decorations, executed with extreme precision. In the center stands a hanging metal handle in a burnished finish, with the classic teardrop shape.
• Surfaces: The top consists of a back-painted glass in an original antique gold/champagne color, set in a protective surrounding frame.
• Legs: The furniture rests on turned, black-lacquered needle legs, with end caps that recall the revamped neoclassical style of the 1950s.
• Elaborate Detail: The upper section features a perforated solid wood gallery, a typical detail of the luxury artisanal Cantù production of the period."}
