This series of paintings is an exploration of Yang, the active, dynamic, and luminous principle of the universe, manifested in the intimate relationship between the human being and their domestic environment. Not from the symbolic or mythological, but from the everyday: in play, movement, or gaze. Here, Yang is not presented as an isolated force, but as energy that circulates between two presences. In common gestures, Yang is expressed as shared expansion, as a bond in action. Each scene portrays a moment of vitality: an affirmation of being alive. Yang here manifests as affection in motion. It is not only about physical strength, but about a radiant presence: the one that arises from a genuine bond, from a joy that needs no language. These paintings invite us to look at the human–space bond as a field of shared energy, where the domestic becomes sacred and the ordinary is illuminated.

Carlos Asensio was born in Castellón in 1986. At an early age, he began his academic training under the tutelage of Cuban artist Amaury Suárez.

He is Doctor of Fine Arts, with a grade of summa cum laude, and holds a Master in Artistic Production from Universitat Politècnica de València. He has also undertaken a Studio Program at the Berlin Art Institute where he received lessons from renowned artists such as Bernhard Martin, Larissa Fassler, Nikola Röthemeyer, or Various & Gould. His research work has led him to participate in several international academic conferences, as well as to publish in humanities journals such as Human Review or Peter Lang.

Among his notable solo exhibitions are those held at the Centro de Arte Tomás y Valiente in Fuenlabrada, the Museo Municipal de Albacete, and the Centro 14 in Alicante. Regarding group shows, he has exhibited both nationally and internationally. In the collective exhibition Ciclamen for Galería Léucade in Murcia, a collaborative project at the DXIX Projects space in Fort Collins, in two editions of GlogauAIR Open Studios, or BAAM#3 at Monopol Berlin. The traveling exhibition Atlas del Arte Español held at the Sala de Exposiciones of the Junta Municipal de Usera, the Sala Mauro Muriendas in Torrelavega, and the Centro Cultural O Vello Cárcere in Lugo. The various exhibitions carried out with the Infinity Art project at fairs such as the Affordable Art Fair in Amsterdam, Art Madrid, or Estampa in Madrid. The 2019_n3 collective exhibition at Piramidón Centre D´Art Contemporani in Barcelona, the Art Spring 2019 event held in Berlin, six editions of Marte, International Fair of Contemporary Art in Castellón, the III Bienal de las Artes Ciutat Vella Oberta in Valencia, or the II Call for La New Fair in Madrid.

Additionally, some of his works are in major private collections such as the Museo Europeo de Arte Moderno and Piramidón Centre D´Art Contemporani in Barcelona, the Museo Arte Contemporanea Sicilia in Catania, and public institutions such as the Museu de la Ciutat de Castelló. Privately, his work is present in collections in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France, Greece, the Netherlands, the United Kingdom, Sweden, Germany, Belgium, and the United States.
