Title: "Quiet Behind"
Description:
There is a feeling that something hidden behind the visible is still there – something that is not loud, not tangible, but nonetheless present. Like a memory you can’t quite grasp, but that remains palpable. The layers feel like moments layered on top of each other that slowly dissolve into one another.
The blue carries a calm depth within it. It doesn’t push itself forward, it remains restrained, almost cautious. And this is its strength: it invites you to look longer, to become still, and to notice what does not immediately catch the eye.
"Quiet Behind" is this fine sense that there is more than meets the eye at first glance. A space between things where thoughts may be allowed to lose themselves – and perhaps to find something that previously had no name.

Christoph Prein is an Austrian artist known for his abstract and contemporary works, mainly created with acrylic paints. Originally from St. Margarethen near Knittelfeld, Prein’s pieces are often characterized by a minimalist, abstract style and are meticulously crafted from high-quality materials to ensure vibrant colors and longevity. In his art, he frequently engages themes such as identity, memory, and the exploration of human emotions, often blurring the lines between the seen and the unseen.
Prein’s approach to art is multidimensional, combining painting with elements of sculpture and installation. This unique style has earned him recognition both in Austria and internationally, with exhibitions across Europe, North America, and Asia. His works often invite the viewer to reflect on the complexities of the modern world and the deeper aspects of human experience.
For a painting measuring 200 x 120 cm, you need a stretch frame of 190 x 110 cm and a thickness of 2-4 cm.
You can then either simply have the canvas stretched yourself or have it done by an artisan or gallery owner.
This is a handmade original, signed by the artist on the back and dated by year.
High-quality and lightfast acrylic paints were used on a multi-layered white-primed gallery canvas.
A varnish was also applied to protect the work.
This work is handmade and therefore a one-of-a-kind!
--- Authentic certificate included ---
Beautify your private residence, law office, clinic, or your office and elevate your spaces in an elegant and stylish way.
If a person ventures into their innermost depths, into a sphere that rarely comes to light, into a space that is mysterious and hidden, waiting to be discovered, tickled awake, and perhaps painfully upright, then art is born.
