Description from the seller
QUIK (Lin Felton) – "Planned Work" NYC
Original and unique piece on authentic urban support.
This striking work by Quik, a historical figure of New York graffiti, is made on a real MTA signage poster. It perfectly illustrates the artist's transition from subway cars to a studio art that retains the urgency of the street.
About the artist:
Active since the 1970s, Quik (Lin Felton) is a legend of the "Old School" movement. Known for his fluid style and irony-charged characters, he is one of the few artists of his generation to have bridged the gap between the Queens train yards and international galleries. His work is today featured in prestigious institutions such as the Museum of the City of New York or the Stedelijk Museum in Amsterdam.
Artwork details:
Support: Official MTA poster (Lines E, R), a witness to New York daily life.
Technique: Tag with spray paint and marker, dynamic signature characteristic.
Dimensions: 61.5 x 41.5 cm
Authenticity: signed on the back, invoice provided on request.
Work sold unframed, photo for example only.
The package will be well protected, sent with tracking and require a signature upon delivery.
