Miguel is a Spanish visual artist who began his career in 1980 and has developed a solid and emotionally intense trajectory, recognized worldwide. He has exhibited in cities such as New York, Hong Kong, Paris, Buenos Aires and Mexico City, and his work is part of some of the most important collections internationally. He currently lives and creates in Italy.

His painting combines figure and abstraction with a language of its own, where vibrant color, symbolic forms and deep textures speak of identity, memory and inner silence. Faceless figures, symbolic natures and scenes suspended in time form a poetic and sensitive universe.

With more than four decades of creation, Miguel de Miguel offers a body of work that is not only observed: it is experienced from the most intimate. An art that crosses borders, styles and words.

The human figure appears as an unstable field where the visible and the erased coexist. Two presences — one diffuse, the other marked by external signs — do not oppose each other, but reveal identity as a fragile construction.
Red bursts in as energy and wound, signaling zones of conflict, while the organic background suggests constant transformation. The matter, incised and superimposed, turns the surface into a trace of a process.
There is no synthesis: identity remains in tension, always forming and fading at once.
