Mediterranean Bonsai (winter protection required)

- characteristic tree for the Mediterranean, with an umbrella-shaped crown
- dark green needles with a distinctive scent
- pine cones with edible pine nuts
- bark initially smooth and gray; in old age the bark becomes reddish-brown and cracked, the inner bark appears cinnamon-brown
- cold-house bonsai; from May to November a place outdoors is also possible
- drought-tolerant and suitable for beginners, avoid waterlogged conditions
- do not fertilize in winter and water only sparingly

Our standards:
- Each bonsai comes with a sample pack of our preferred organic long-term bonsai fertilizer.
- To determine trunk width, we place the measuring instrument at half height between the root collar and the first branch (see example image). In case of multiple trunks, the widest one is chosen.
- All our trees are planted in a substrate mix developed by us.
- Where possible, we reuse old packaging when shipping, for the sake of the environment.
- The trees are watered before shipping, protected from drying out, and securely fixed in the outer carton.
- Shipping is insured.
- Service providers are commissioned who state they can normally deliver the goods within a maximum of 4 working days.
- We ship on the following Monday after receipt of payment on Catawiki to avoid delivery delays due to weekends.
