Description from the seller
Acrylic on primed cardboard\n\nMaestro Aldo Gentilini.\n\nIn good condition.\n\nSigned on the front lower part, while on the back there is the authenticity made directly by the artist.\n\nCanvas size: 50 x 70 cm.\n\nDetail, as with all of his works, this piece by Master Aldo Gentilini is part of a private collection. It is certainly an interesting work for someone with space to furnish and enliven with taste, in an Abstract/figurative style, and it comes with its original frame, which is in decent structural condition, without the glass, which could be re-fitted if desired. In any case, given the charm of the work, changing the frame is recommended.\n\nThe images shown are an integral part of the description.\n\nIt will be packed with great care and shipped by express courier with tracking.\n\nAldo Gentilini was born in Genoa in 1911. From a young age he felt a strong religious vocation that led him to enter the cloistered monastery of Pietrasanta, where he remained for three years pursuing philosophical studies, before dedicating himself as a self-taught artist to artistic research, which would lead him to exhibit in numerous shows in Italy and abroad.\n\nA man of faith, he believed that only through art can the divine be reached. And this thought would underlie all his work: “I try to create emptiness – Gentilini said – This emptiness provokes in me a certain catharsis: I observe sensitive values that I respect and reassess, but I never know how I will fall into the painting, and this is the realization of a truth toward the sign never thought.”\n\nHe was an artist practicing asceticism, to imitate the Saint to whom he was devoted. The two natures, the human and the aesthetic, coincide perfectly.
