A rare drawing by Fabrizio Plessi, innovative Italian artist, living, born in 1940.
The work, from 1964, is a preparatory study of 35.5 x 62 cm on paper, mounted in a wooden frame 56 x 76 cm, signed and dated bottom left, total weight 2.5 kg.
Fabrizio Plessi is one of the pioneers of international video art, interpreting the meeting between natural elements and electronic technology to create video installations where drawing is the initial stroke of the work.
He has participated in numerous editions of the Venice Biennale (where in 1980 his film "Liquid Movie" was awarded) and of Documenta in Kassel (notably, in 1987, the monumental installation "Roma"). Monumental installations in public places (Hannover, Venice) and in historic settings such as Palazzo Te in Mantua, the Baths of Caracalla in Rome, the Correr Museum in Venice.
Architectural installations in Braunschweig (Plessi-Bogen) and Kronach (Plessi-Turm).
His works and projects are present in major institutions: Guggenheim Museum in New York; Centre Pompidou in Paris; Ludwig Museum in Cologne and in Budapest; Pushkin Museum in Moscow.
The work, in excellent condition, is shipped framed, via Poste Italiane’s Registered Mail.
