Description from the seller
Omega wristwatch in steel, automatic Bumper model, for watch enthusiasts, the name alone conveys the type of movement known as the hammer movement, since it was innovative for its time; we are in the immediate post-World War II period, in fact this watch should be from 1948/1950, and unlike a normal automatic, where the rotor spins around the watch, in this one it bounces on two side springs that then wind the watch, a real innovation for the era.
Diameter 34 mm excluding crown, generic strap as well as crown.
Watch functioning, everything stamped both on the inner case back and on the movement with its serial number.
The watch has small seconds at 6 o’clock, a two-tone dial lived as it should be, and the rarity of having a complete Arabic numbering.
Military-style watch.
Movement in excellent condition, but a conservative service by experienced vintage watchmakers is always recommended.
With this watch, you are not buying a simple timepiece, but a piece of Swiss watchmaking history!
Tracked and insured shipping with DHL Express, for non-European countries, customs duties will be applied according to the importing country.
