Description from the seller
Rare and Exclusive Vintage Gaming and Poker Set by Dal Negro, Luxury Blackwood with Inlaid Wood
I present a rare and refined vintage gaming set produced by the prestigious Italian house Carte Dal Negro of Treviso, from the 1960s, with chip values in lire. A collector’s opportunity to own a piece of cabinetry and period design, perfect to enrich a collection or as a prestigious decorative object.
It is crafted in glossy, noble walnut wood, characterized by an elegant and exclusive central panel in dark burl veneer. This panel is meticulously framed by delicate black inlay fillets, creating a balanced and elegant visual contrast that highlights the craftsmanship.
The interior, compartmentalized in wood, houses a varied and high-end collection of plaques and chips, made from period materials such as high-quality acrylic resins (Lucite), many with fine pearlescent effects and veining. Note especially the large size of the high-value plaques, typical of historic elite gaming tables.
The case is in rare, impeccable condition for its age (the 1960s!); a true piece of history, still bearing the original Dal Negro sticker.
