AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

“The Room at Four” is based on an old photograph once found among the artist’s family belongings. A quiet image of a woman whose identity was never recorded. There was no name, no date, only the stillness of the moment and the way she looked directly into the camera.
In translating the image into paint, the artist focused less on preserving detail and more on preserving presence. The muted tones and subdued light reflect the weight of time, while the two bright flowers behind her remain as small, unresolved points of contrast, suggesting something softer just beyond reach.

The woman’s posture is resting but alert, creating a tension between fatigue and awareness. Though unknown, she feels specific, as if caught between being remembered and being forgotten.

Acrylic on paper. Sold unframed.
