Meteorite Sericho, a Pallasitic iron meteorite, 58 g, origin Habaswein, Kenya, country of origin Spain.
Description from the seller
Meteorite Sericho – Large-Format Square Slice with Olivines
Sober, a superb slice with a square geometry of the Sericho pallasite, found in 2016 in the semi-arid plains of Habaswein, Kenya. Its four sides define a polished surface of considerable extent that reveals an abundant and uniform distribution of olivine crystals in lime-green, deep jade, and warm gold tones integrated into a compact iron-nickel lattice, which, when backlit, emits a greenish luminosity characteristic of higher-quality gemological olivines.
The square shape of this slice gives it a structured, balanced presence, uncommon in the world of pallasites where regular geometry is more of an exception than a rule. With 58 grams of mass and a broad exposed face, this piece offers one of the most complete visual experiences a pallasite meteorite can provide, allowing simultaneous appreciation of both the metallic density of its matrix and the chromatic richness of its crystals. A large-format specimen in a category of meteorites that accounts for less than 1% of all known.
A monumental piece where geometric precision embraces cosmic rarity.
Includes:
• Certificate of authenticity
• Explanatory booklet
