Description from the seller
Emerald Moon
Original XL painting, part of the series “Architectural Compositions.”
In this work, the exploration of geometry shifts toward a solemn and hypnotic symmetry. Here the structure becomes a temple: a cathedral of voids, converging with precision toward a single spiritual center.
At the heart of this architecture shines the Emerald Moon. More than a mere chromatic element, this vibrant green circle acts as a solitary star. Its color, deep and precious, breaks the rigidity of black and white, exerting a magnetic pull that transcends the logic of perspective. A point of light we do not know, yet instinctively recognize as a guiding beacon. Like a moon rising among lost woods, the “Emerald Moon” offers a sense of orientation and hope in the labyrinth of human possibilities, transforming geometric rigidity into a moment of pure contemplation.
Hand-painted with acrylic on canvas of overall dimensions 110x70 cm, the painted surface measures 100x60 cm; about 5 cm of white margin around the canvas have been left. 100% cotton with fine grain, final protective varnish.
The work is a unique piece hand-signed with an included certificate of authenticity; it is not a print.
The piece will be carefully packed inside a tube and sent by registered mail with tracking code within 3 business days after payment.

Carmelo Manuel Tosto | Architect and Artist
Born in Catania (Italy) in 1990, I have shaped my creative path between the rigor of design and the freedom of vision. My education, developed between the State Institute of Art in Catania and the Faculty of Architecture in Bologna, with crucial experiences in Ankara and Milan, has allowed me to develop a language where the built environment becomes emotion.
My artistic research elects architecture not as a simple subject, but as the structure of thought. In my work, the constructive elements shed their practical function to become symbolic archetypes:
The Staircase - It represents the dynamism of becoming. It is an invitation to movement, an element that connects physical and metaphysical planes, guiding the observer toward new spaces of awareness or places of elsewhere.
The Gate - A threshold between the known and the unknown. Architecturally it enables connection between environments; emotionally, it transports toward moods of those who observe it. Behind every gateway, the viewer is invited to project what resides in their own unconscious, always seeking “beyond” the visible, turning the act of looking into an act of personal discovery.
The Arch - An archetypal architectural element par excellence, it embodies resilience and balance. Its ability not to be crushed by weights, but to discharge them harmoniously, translates into a curved, soft line that welcomes and reassures, offering a stability that is both structural and spiritual.
In this constant dialogue between archetypes, matter, and light, every painting is born as a “sensitive place.” The painterly gesture meets design rigor to create depth not only visual but perceptual, inviting the viewer to inhabit the space of the canvas and discover a part of themselves within it.”
