Born a Swabian, she lives and works today as a freelance artist and creativity coach with her family in Osnabrück.

She still describes herself as a self-taught artist.
Despite various courses of study, self-learning through experimentation and continuous practice are central and shape her works. For Ganter, independently acquired ability stands as an expression of strength. Many of her works represent feelings and the intersections of her life.
