Description from the seller
Standing still on a sunlit pontoon, swept by a grazing light, a man elegantly dressed in a white suit and a Panama hat contemplates the blue expanse. Beside him rests a superb classic wooden runabout, its glossy curves contrasting with the geometric lines of the dock. The intense shadows and the absolute calm of the scene evoke the silent elegance of the Riviera, the nostalgia of the 1930s, and timeless luxury. Between waiting and contemplation, this painting captures the essence of a suspended departure.
