Description from the seller
N for Pollock — The Artphabet
Edition 1/10 — 60 x 60 cm
This work is part of The Artphabet, an artistic project developed by the digital artist Cess, in which each letter of the alphabet pays homage to key figures in modern art and visual culture.
In this piece, the letter N becomes a tribute to Jackson Pollock, reinterpreting his revolutionary dripping technique and his radical approach to painting as action. The typography becomes a living canvas where gesture, chance, and energy are the real protagonists.
The surface of the letter is covered with a complex network of splashes, strokes, and layers of color that evoke Pollock's characteristic visual language. Vibrant tones —yellows, reds, blues, and blacks— intertwine in a chaotic yet surprisingly balanced composition, generating a sense of continuous movement and dynamic tension.
The piece is presented on an easel, reinforcing the direct connection to the painting process and placing the work on the border between painting and sculpture. This element introduces a performative dimension, alluding to the physical act of creation that defined the artist's practice.
Three-dimensionality offers a new contemporary reading, transporting gestural painting into the digital space, where the painting material acquires volume, texture, and physical presence. The result is a work that captures the intensity of the artistic gesture and transforms it into an object.
The work was created through a completely digital 3D process (CGI), modeled by hand with special attention to layer superposition, texture, and color interaction, achieving an aesthetic that is rich, expressive, and highly dynamic.
The Artphabet has enjoyed wide international exposure, being disseminated in numerous design, art, and visual culture media, consolidating itself as one of the most prominent artistic typography projects within the recent digital realm.
Cess is an artist specializing in digital art, CGI, and artificial intelligence, with an established track record in the creative sector, having collaborated with international brands such as Apple, Google, Prada, Vogue, and MTV, among others.
The work is presented in high-quality Giclée printing on polycotton canvas, guaranteeing excellent color reproduction, texture, and the intensity of the original digital work.
