Description from the seller

Rendered in sepia tones of a daguerreotype or a dream half-forgotten, a solitary elephant wades along the bank of a tropical river. The palm trees melt into the mist. Sailboats drift in the distance. The sky is like aged paper, the entire scene imbued with the patina of another century.
Le Yack here radically changes register – shifting from cinematic imagery to a form closer to colonial-era natural history painting, filtered through the prism of digital alchemy. The altered texture, the burnt edges, the golden haze: this image has its rightful place on the wall of a library or in an explorer’s cabinet. It is a world both remembered and invented.

Le Yack, emerging French pop and street art artist. Alexandre Pelletier, known as Le Yack, was born in 1972 in Tours. During his studies, he joined the École Supérieure d'Art et de Design (ESAD) in Orléans. He is art director in publishing and on the web. Instagram @leyack45. Other works are created as unique paintings on canvas, adding an exclusive and authentic dimension to his collection.
