André Renoux (1939-2002) - Rue St. André des Arts - Paris

André Renoux painted Parisian cityscapes his whole life. He was fascinated by the architecture in the city. People and traffic are absent. The weather is often gray. The gallery that sold his work was located in Montmartre. He often painted small cafés or shops in the surrounding area. His Parisian cityscapes are beloved, also as lithographs. In oil paint, as in this example, they are however rare.
