There are no tools that intervene in its forms, since none can create its patterns: only the hand, the hammer, the pulse, spatial development and a deep understanding of balance and anatomy without falling into literalism.
The proportions converse with the body, but they transcend it, taking it to a more subtle territory, where the physical becomes dreamlike emotion.
The fluidity of its lines generates a visual journey that never stops, creating evolution. The gaze slides along its curves as if following the course of an expanding thought. It is a still dance that, nevertheless, conveys constant movement.

More than steel, more than art:

Javi Villarroel Seoane is a contemporary sculptor who translates his ideas into a living testament of creativity. From his studio in Bilbao, Spain, he develops sculptures with metal and design furniture, a material he masters with skill that allows him to explore various artistic directions.

His career includes numerous exhibitions at the national level, and his pieces are part of collections spread across several countries in Europe, the United Kingdom and Asia, reflecting the international reach of his work.

His solid training and 20 years of experience back the technical quality of his sculptures. He holds qualifications in welding teaching, design of mechanical manufacturing, industrial boilermaking, artistic forging, sculpture and hot sculpted sculpture. His constant drive led him to become an underwater welder, an experience that broadened his knowledge from a unique and highly specialized perspective.
Paralleling his creative work, Javi has contributed significantly to professional training in his sector. He has taught hundreds of welders through programs of the Basque Government, among others, and has taught artistic welding courses, sharing his vision, technique and his deep respect and love for the craft and metal.

In addition to being recognized as a distinguished artist of the Basque Country, in 2025 the City Council of Bilbao recognized his career and entrepreneurial spirit by awarding him a Entrepreneurship Award, a honor that values his commitment to art and his contribution to the cultural and educational landscape of the city.
His work is listed in the second volume of "La escultura vasca contemporánea", recently published.
